Rajesh Roshan Vinyl Records

Rajesh Roshan was born in Bombay in 1955, the son of the composer Roshan and the younger brother of actor-director Rakesh Roshan. He made his mark with Kunwara Baap (1974) and Julie (1975), then scored Swami, Dev Anand's Des Pardes and Kaala Patthar (1979). Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar sang many of his songs, and his career ran well past the vinyl era, to Karan Arjun (1995) and Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai (2000).

Our Rajesh Roshan vinyl records are original Hindi film soundtracks from the 1970s and 1980s, LPs and EPs, on which he is credited as music director. 31 records carry his name, most of them pressed by EMI. Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar are the voices you will hear most, followed by Asha Bhosle. Amit Khanna, who wrote the lyrics for Des Pardes and Lootmaar (1980), and Indivar are the most frequent lyricists, with Majrooh Sultanpuri close behind. Look also for Man Pasand, Swami, Khud-Daar (1982) and Janta Hawaldar, the film whose songs made the singer Anwar's name.
