About the film
Ek Chadar Maili Si is a 1986 Hindi film directed by Sukhwant Dhadda, starring Hema Malini, Rishi Kapoor, Poonam Dhillon and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. The soundtrack was composed by Anu Malik, with playback by Dilraj Kaur, Asha Bhosle and Gucharan Kaur Bagan. Adapted from Rajinder Singh Bedi's novella, a woman in a conservative Punjabi village is forced by custom into a second marriage with her younger brother-in-law after her husband is murdered.
