Mohammed Aziz Vinyl Records

Mohammed Aziz (1954–2018) was born Syed Mohammed Aziz-un-Nabi in West Bengal. He started out singing at the Ghalib restaurant in Calcutta and later moved to Bombay, where the composer Anu Malik introduced him to Hindi cinema. "Mard Tangewala", which Anu Malik composed for Manmohan Desai's Mard, made his name. He worked most often with Laxmikant-Pyarelal, recording hundreds of songs for them, and sang many duets with Kavita Krishnamurthy. He also sang in Bengali and Odia films and recorded devotional music. He died in Mumbai in 2018, after collapsing at the city's airport on arriving from Kolkata.
