S.P. Balasubrahmanyam Vinyl Records

S.P. Balasubrahmanyam (1946–2020) was born in the Nellore district of present-day Andhra Pradesh and recorded his first film song in 1966, for the Telugu film Sri Sri Sri Maryada Ramanna. He sang in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi and other languages, working closely with M.S. Viswanathan, Ilaiyaraaja and later A.R. Rahman. Hindi listeners first heard him in Laxmikant-Pyarelal's Ek Duuje Ke Liye (1981), and later as Salman Khan's singing voice in Raamlaxman's Maine Pyar Kiya (1989) and Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994).
