About the film
Mard is a 1985 Hindi film directed by Manmohan Desai, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Amrita Singh, Dara Singh and Nirupa Roy. The soundtrack was composed by Annu Malik, with playback by Shabbir Kumar, Mohd. Aziz and Asha Bhosle. In British-ruled early 20th-century India, a tanga driver discovers his royal parentage and sets out to free his imprisoned father and defeat the colonial officials who ruined his family.
