About the film
Batwara is a 1989 Hindi film directed by J. P. Dutta, starring Dharmendra, Vinod Khanna, Dimple Kapadia and Poonam Dhillon. The soundtrack was composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal, with playback by Alka Yagnik, Anuradha Paudwal and Ila Arun. A lifelong friendship between an aristocratic landowner and a low-caste police officer collapses when the landowner turns vengeful after his brother is killed by peasants.
