Hemlata Vinyl Records
Hemlata was born Lata Bhatt in Hyderabad in 1954, spent her childhood in Calcutta, and trained in classical music with her father and guru, Pandit Jaichand Bhatt. She is closely associated with composer Ravindra Jain, and her voice is remembered from films such as Chitchor (1976), Fakira (1976), Dulhan Wahi Jo Piya Man Bhaaye (1977), Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se (1978) and Nadiya Ke Paar (1982). Besides Hindi she has sung in Bhojpuri, Rajasthani, Haryanvi, Punjabi, Bengali and several other languages.
