About the film
Vir Mangdavalo is a 1976 Gujarati film directed by Babubhai Mistry, starring Upendra Trivedi, Arvind Trivedi and Snehlata. The soundtrack was composed by Avinash Vyas, with playback by Asha Bhosle, Mahendra Kapoor and Velajibhai Gajjar. In this Gujarati folklore fantasy a warrior dies before fulfilling a promise to his beloved and returns as a ghost who can be with her only at night, until she frees him by immersing his ashes.
