About the film
Diwana is a 1967 Hindi film directed by Mahesh Kaul, starring Raj Kapoor, Saira Banu and Lalita Pawar. The soundtrack was composed by Shankar-Jaikishan, with playback by Mukesh and Sharda. A simple-hearted orphan named Pyarelal falls in love, is arrested for murder and confesses in court, with the real reason for his confession emerging only later.
