The records in this collection

Nitin Mukesh is credited as a playback singer on 41 records here. They are original Hindi film soundtracks rather than solo albums, and the great majority come from the 1980s. Laxmikant-Pyarelal is the composer on the largest share, followed by Khayyam, Bappi Lahiri and Kalyanji-Anandji, with Anjaan, Indivar and Santosh Anand the most frequent lyricists. Lata Mangeshkar sings on more of them than anyone else, followed by Asha Bhosle, Kishore Kumar, Shabbir Kumar and Anuradha Paudwal. Look for Noorie, Kranti, Nakhuda, Meri Jung, Clerk and Jeena Teri Gali Mein (1991).

Buying Nitin Mukesh vinyl from us

Most copies are EMI India and T-Series pressings, with Polydor and Venus issues among the rest, many of them from the late 1980s, when cassettes were overtaking the LP in India. Pressing quality varies, so we grade vinyl and sleeve separately and photograph the actual copy you will receive. We ship worldwide from Bengaluru in sturdy, record-safe packaging.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this Mukesh or Nitin Mukesh?

This shelf is for Nitin Mukesh, the son. Soundtracks with his father, who died in 1976, sit in their own collection, so a record appears here only when Nitin Mukesh himself is credited.

Does he sing every song on these records?

No. These are soundtracks on which he sings one or more songs, very often duets with Lata Mangeshkar, and each listing photographs the back sleeve so you can check his tracks.
