The soundtrack to Bohemian Rhapsody, the 2018 Queen biopic, on two LPs from Hollywood Records, which released the album in the US and Canada. It came out on CD, cassette and download in October 2018, and the double vinyl followed on 8 February 2019, cut at Abbey Road Studios. Brian May and Roger Taylor produced it, with Justin Shirley-Smith, Kris Fredriksson and Joshua J Macrae as co-producers.
It is not only a hits collection. The album holds 11 previously unreleased recordings, among them five songs from Queen's Live Aid set at Wembley Stadium in July 1985, which take up most of side four. There are also live versions of Keep Yourself Alive from the Rainbow Theatre in London in 1974, Now I'm Here from the Hammersmith Odeon in 1975, Fat Bottomed Girls from Paris in 1979 and Love Of My Life from Rock in Rio in 1985.
Doing All Right... Revisited is by Smile, the band May and Taylor had with Tim Staffell before Queen. They reunited at Abbey Road Studios in 2018 to re-record the song for the film, keeping Staffell's original vocal on the middle section. The hype sticker describes the set as original Queen and Smile recordings. The album peaked at number 2 on the Billboard 200 and won the soundtrack award at the 2019 American Music Awards.
