Led Zeppelin debut album 180g vinyl LP front cover

Led Zeppelin I 180g Vinyl LP (Jimmy Page Remaster)

Rs. 8,999.00

The 1969 debut on 180 gram vinyl, remastered by Jimmy Page himself. Recorded and mixed at Olympic Studios in London in October 1968 with Glyn Johns engineering, the whole album was finished in about thirty hours of studio time, before the band even had a record deal. Page paid for the sessions out of his own pocket, which is why he kept control of the tapes and why he was the one remastering them decades later.

George Hardie's cover, the Hindenburg going up at Lakehurst, was reportedly drawn for a flat fee of sixty pounds. The rear liner photograph is by Chris Dreja, who had been the Yardbirds' bassist alongside Page.

Worth noting for anyone browsing our Indian catalogue: Black Mountain Side has Viram Jasani on tabla, credited on the sleeve. It is one of the earliest examples of Indian percussion on a British hard rock record, and it sits two tracks away from Communication Breakdown.
