Deep Purple Made In Japan Steven Wilson Remix double vinyl LP front cover

Deep Purple Made In Japan Vinyl 2LP (Steven Wilson Remix)

Rs. 5,499.00

The double live album Deep Purple recorded on their first tour of Japan in August 1972, over two nights at Festival Hall in Osaka and one at the Budokan in Tokyo, here in Steven Wilson's new stereo remix. This is the standalone two LP gatefold edition from Warner Records and Rhino, released on 3 October 2025 in the US, Canada and Japan.

It is the Mark II line-up of Ian Gillan, Ritchie Blackmore, Roger Glover, Jon Lord and Ian Paice, recorded by engineer Martin Birch with no overdubs. Most of the album comes from the second Osaka show: Smoke On The Water is the only track from 15 August, and The Mule and Lazy come from Tokyo, as the sleeve notes beside each title.

Wilson has written that the concerts were recorded on six channels of an eight track tape, with the other two tracks capturing the audience and the hall. He made the remix chiefly for new surround and Atmos versions; this record carries his new stereo mix. In his words, "It's all completely as it happened on the night."
