Deep Purple Machine Head Vinyl LP (2024 Remix)

The 1972 album remixed by Dweezil Zappa from the original analogue tapes, issued for Rocktober on Rhino. This is a genuine remix rather than a remaster: Zappa went back to the multitracks and rebalanced them, so the Hammond and the guitar occupy their own space instead of fighting each other in the middle of the picture.

The record was made at the Grand Hotel in Montreux on the Rolling Stones Mobile Studio, after the Montreux Casino burned down during a Frank Zappa concert and took the band's intended venue with it. They wrote Smoke On The Water about the fire. Dweezil Zappa remixing the album fifty years later is a neat piece of circularity.

This pressing adds When A Blind Man Cries, originally the B side of the Never Before single and left off the original LP, and comes with a lyric poster.
