HMV Vinyl Records
Every record in this catalogue whose sleeve carries the HMV label. His Master's Voice, recognisable by the Nipper dog-and-gramophone trademark, was the flagship imprint of The Gramophone Company of India and the label most associated with Hindi film soundtracks through the LP era.
The Gramophone Company began its Indian operation in Calcutta and pressed the bulk of the country's film music for most of the twentieth century. In 2000 it was renamed Saregama, which still owns much of this catalogue. Original HMV pressings carry the His Master's Voice label; later reissues carry the Saregama name. If you are looking for Saregama vinyl, the original pressings are here — and our guide to gramophone records covers the 78 rpm discs HMV issued before the LP.
Every record is graded by hand and photographed as the actual copy you receive, and ships worldwide from our shop in Bengaluru.
