The Beatles' Second Album, the band's second Capitol LP, released in the United States in April 1964 at the height of Beatlemania and assembled from tracks Capitol had held back from the UK albums. It is the record that carries She Loves You and Roll Over, Beethoven, alongside the group's readings of Motown and rock and roll standards — Please Mr. Postman, Money, You Really Got a Hold on Me and Little Richard's Long Tall Sally.
This is the mono reissue: a faithful replica of the original US album, cut from the original analogue master tapes and pressed on 180g audiophile vinyl. The sleeve reproduces the 1964 Capitol artwork front and back, and the package includes an insert with an essay on the album's history. Sealed, unplayed, and imported.
